Why it costs so little

How it works
Six ways it is used, four steps every time
Fill, drop, agitate for 30 seconds, use. There is no measuring jug anywhere in the operation.
Trigger spray
Remove the head, fill with clean water, drop in one pod, refit and shake for 30 seconds.
Mop bucket
Fill the bucket with clean water, drop in one pod and stir for 30 seconds.
Daily toilet
Drop the pod in the bottle, half fill with warm water, cap and shake, leave 15 minutes.
i-mop
Fill the compartment with clean water, drop in one pod, swirl and close the lid.
Scrubber dryer
Fill the tank to the line, add the sachets the machine takes and agitate.
5L bottle
Fill to the line, add one sachet, cap and shake until dissolved, fit the dip tube.
Delivery and storage
A month of chemical for a site fits in a drawer.
Weight. 260 ready-to-use bottles weigh roughly 208kg. The 26 sachet packs that replace them weigh about 2kg.

The COSHH argument
The powder inside the sachet is classified hazardous, which is why it is sealed in water-soluble film that nobody opens. The safety data sheet for every diluted product states “not classified” under CLP.
The operative therefore never contacts a classified substance — something a decanted 5 litre concentrate cannot claim. Fixed dosing removes over-pouring, and every Bottle for Life is printed for its product, so the labelling requirement is met by the bottle itself.

Both sanitisers are BS EN 1276 certified with a 30-second kill time, tested in dirty conditions, and hold a minimum 28-day performance once diluted. Most sanitiser certification is obtained on clean surfaces. A working kitchen never is.
